About the Contest and Sponsorship Benefits
The Hydrogen Student Design Contest attracts the interest of hundreds of students from around the world and the winning designs will be seen by over 1,500 industry leaders in person at the NHA’s 20th Annual Hydrogen Conference in Columbia, South Carolina, and many more through the Hydrogen Student Design Contest website, www.HydrogenContest.org. Other benefits of sponsorship include:

Specific Sponsorship Needs
Each year, the Hydrogen Student Design Contest requires $80,000 in industry sponsorship for administration of the contest and to support the winning teams' travel to attend the NHA Annual Hydrogen Conference (the largest hydrogen conference in the US) and showcase their designs. About one third of this sponsorship goes to administration of the Contest, including creation of the Rules and Design Guidelines and two thirds to the winning student teams to showcase their designs at the Hydrogen Conference.
We are currently looking for sponsors, including a Title Sponsor to help select the theme and location for the focus of the 2008-2009 Contest. For those interested in supporting the education of students and hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, we are additionally looking for general sponsors, which will provide your organization with access to all designs and a seat on the judging panel, your company logo on the Contest website and all marketing materials, and more. Contributions of $15,000, $10,000 or $5,000 are suggested, contact NHA staff to find out more about what benefits are included with each level of sponsorship.

This year, we expect all contributions to be tax-exempt. The Hydrogen Education Foundation is applying to the IRS for recognition as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The HEF will administer the Hydrogen Student Design Contest and guarantee that any unused funds will be contributed towards future Contests.
